Hola:

mi sobremesa, es relativamente nuevo y es bastante completo, hace poco instalé Ubuntu 10.04 y a su vez compiz y no consigo reproducir ningún efecto.

Ya desde que arranco el PC, la página donde sale "Ubuntu" y los puntitos blancos que se hacen rojos bajo del título, se ve demasiado grande y como con malos gráficos y descentrado.

Después de instalar compiz, intenté desde preferencias --> apariencia --> efectos visuales activar los efectos, pero no me deja ni poner el normal, solo me deja marcar la opción "ninguno". el mensaje que me dice es: "no se han podido activar los efectos".

La tarjeta es suficiente y tienes la aceleración activada, yo diría que es un problema de la configuración de compiiz config settings.

creo que el problema es que está mal instalada la tarjeta gráfica, porque cuando arranco y sale el título "ubuntu" y los puntitos blancos que se hacen rojos cuando está cargando, se ve descentrado y supergrande, en cambio, en otros equipos que lo he visto se ve pequeño y con mejores gráficos.

¿como puedo averiguarlo?

necesito saber si lo que es el hardware está bien instalado o reinstalarlo, o algo...

además el equipo va más lento de lo que iba con windows, a la hora de navegar no me abre páginas y se me queda en blanco...

¿que me recomiendas?
